If you already have a personal headset that you use in Teams or Zoom Meetings, follow these steps to finish your upgrade to Zoom Phone!
- See “Zoom Basics” below to install and sign into Zoom Workplace.
- Follow our guide, “Get Started with Zoom Phone.” Review your Zoom Phone number to ensure correctness.
- Place a test call to *TEST or *8378.
- Make an “emergency” test call to 933 to verify your location information.
- Make note of any pre-existing Nortel voicemail for follow-up—your voicemail will not be migrated to Zoom.
- Create a ticket when you are ready to deactivate your Nortel phone, .
- Do not disconnect your legacy Nortel phone!
- Monitor your ticket for completion. Telecommunications will let you know when your Nortel phone is deactivated and will schedule a time to pick up the equipment.
