Upgrading to Zoom Phone

The phone system at Andrews University is changing to something modern and flexible: Zoom Phone!

This change comes as a response to an aging technology that has lost support from its vendors.

With Zoom Phone, you can take calls from your desktop Zoom application and the mobile application. In a live call, you can switch between devices for a seamless experience.

When the upgrade is complete, the call recipient won’t notice a difference in service. Calls within Andrews will still connect with the same four-digit extensions that you have been using.

Upgrading to Zoom phone will generally be done on a department by department basis. When Telecommunications upgrades you and/or your department to Zoom Phone, all legacy phones will be removed as part of the upgrade process.

Voicemail in the old system will need to be manually processed, it cannot be migrated to the new system. This can be done before the upgrade, during the upgrade, or for a brief period of time after you are upgraded.

    Audio Testing

You can test your audio by dialing *8378 (*TEST) from your Zoom Phone or Zoom Phone applications.

By calling this extension, you can speak into your microphone and the speakers will play your voice back to you.
